What the Internet Brings

I've been away for quite awhile. So am here to give you a little break from your regular Gundam updates.

Here is a short ode to the internet to the tune of My Favorite Things:

Log-ins on pages and password protection,
Usernames differ like captcha variations,
E-cards and Ads about various things,
These are a few of what the internet brings.

Yahoo and Hotmail and Gmail by Google,
Spam that sells Viagra to HongKong Fried Noodles,
Flickr, imageshack and photo sharing,
These are a few of what the internet brings.

Friendster and Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace,
Twitter and Tumblr and blogposts about lace,
YouTube and forums about nearly anything,
These are a few of what the internet brings.

When my work's through
Or during long breaks
When the boss is mad,
I simply log onto my favorite sites
And then I don't feel so bad.

The internet has been good to me. I hope it has been good to you too.

This is also an announcement of the birth of a new link for blog navigation. It is aptly named Internet.

Review: HG 00 Gundam Seven Sword

Here's the kit 2010 kit I've been waiting for-- HG GN-0000GNHW/7SG 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G!
Man, that's a mouthful. The best 1289 Yen I've ever spent!

Photoreview time!

Packaging.

Contents. Kinday blurry. Two new runners for the 00.

It comes with the same stickers as the 00 Raiser. Not just plain green.

Front. Stickers not applied yet.

Rear. The slot's just waiting for an XN Raiser. *hints hints*

Time to showcase the weapons.

Here he is beside the 00-Raiser

Weapons.

GN Buster Sword first mode.

GN Buster Sword Giant Katar thingy mode.

GN Katars.

GN Sword II Long and Short.

The Rifle. Yeah.

Standard 00 Beam Sabers. Nothing interesting.

GN Buster Sword in storage mode. Size comparison with GN Sword II and III.

And in battle mode.

More size comparison.

Long and short GN Sword II compared with standard GN Sword II.

GN Sword II Short and its extension thingy.

GN Katar compared to GN Shield Katar.

Verdict:

There's really nothing to say, I just love it. XD

WIP: HG Zaku Phantom Spawn Custom Part 2

Update

Further mods. "Rivets" on the skirt, also on the lower chest and right shoulder.

Snipped some male parts for easy disassembly.

Water slides from MG Sword Impulse.

Progress report. I paint, mark and topcoat in pieces. Since I have mixed gloss and flat parts, I can't do it all in one go after the kit is fully assembled.

FG/NG Launcher Strike backpack and beam cannon. Basic kitbash again.

More progress report.

Mechapinoy on TV!

Mechapinoy had an (extremely short) interview with MOGTV which aired on local station TV 5 last January 29 at 11pm. The guys said they were there for half a day and so we waited for it to air. The entire segment was only about two minutes long, but what amount of screen time is screen time nonetheless XD

The blog post on their website was pretty hilarious starting with a picture of our founder Richie Ramos, followed by "Malamang eh iniisip n'yo ngayon, "WTF, sino 'yan?"". Lol. Hahaha.

More or less unimpressive, but it's a 2-minute even worth mentioning and and telling the story of over and over again. That's it for now. Zedd Arckham out.

WIP: HG Zaku Phantom Spawn Custom

This will be my entry for MechaPinoy's In-house Contest, Zakuhin Mo Mukha Mo!

The Kit. HGGS Blaze Zaku Phantom.

The original backpack. Zaku Blaze Wizard.

Noir Striker pack.

And there. Basic kitbash.

First modification. Adding a crotch slot for display base connector.

Other than the paint job, here's one of a few selling points that makes the Spawn Custom. Spikes.
Sprues, cut into shape and sanded down to point.

Cement into place.

Progress report.
